The Truth about Christianity
Most people often think Christianity is a religion but is that really true? For me NO. Christianity is not a religion, it is not about going to church on Sundays neither is it following a set of rules. Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ the son of God. It simply means coming to Christ in our helplessness and embracing him as our savior. The bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We all lost it. It doesn’t matter whether you are born into a Christian family and taught how to pray and memorize scriptures. No it doesn’t matter because we are born into sin and we therefore consciously need to forsake our old ways and accept Jesus as our savior. What we need to do is simply accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior by believing what He did for us on Calvary then confess with our mouth and we become saved. The Holy Spirit comes into our life to help us to live above sin. Then our relationship with Christ starts. In order to grow and have a robust relationship, we need to spend time with Him by reading his word, praying and fellow shipping with the brethren. We also need to continually pray in the Holy Ghost and yield to his leading. If we fall into sin sometimes, we will not be comfortable because the spirit of God in us will compel us to confess our sins and come back to the Father. This is what Christianity is all about, a relationship with Jesus that will make anyone that use to know us say indeed our life has changed. That was exactly what happened to the apostles, Mary Magdalene, Paul the apostle etc. So my point is, it doesn’t matter your position in the church or your title. It doesn’t matter if you are always the first to come to church and the last to go, it doesn’t matter if you pay your tithe and offering always what really matter is our relationship with Christ. This one on one relationship is what makes us Christians. Most people have been playing religion by ticking so many boxes of what they do in the church but they end up frustrated and say they don’t want to be Christians anymore. The truth is if you keep playing religion in the name of being a Christian, frustration is inevitable. Let go of religion and begin a relationship with the one who saved your soul.

I believe you died for me on the cross and rose again. I am sorry for all the ways I have lived before. Holy Spirit take your place in me. Thank you Lord because I am born again.
